HALAL “Queer 3Arab Fiesta” is a space for collective and political enjoyment created by the FDIHA Association to celebrate and champion transqueer, migrant, racialized, and 3Arab identities in the diaspora. A party that understands joy as resistance, the dance floor as autonomous territory, and dance as a way to keep existing amidst grief, rage, and colonial violences. It is open to many presences, but it is not just any party: whoever enters does so with an awareness of where they are, which bodies sustain the space, and how to inhabit the night with care and shared desire.
FDIHA is a cultural and political platform created by Trans and queer “3arab” people in the diaspora. We were born out of scandal because our very existence has historically been silenced, treated as a threat, or reduced to someone else’s fantasy. FDIHA reclaims that scandal as pride, a political gesture, and a way to create parallel worlds. Our mission is to celebrate, care for, and protect our lives through art, archives, and gathering spaces, challenging racism, Orientalism, and transphobia while building communities of collective care, resistance, and self-creation.
