On 14 December, the European project Dancing Museum, which for two years has been carried out by the artist Quim Bigas through the proposal that the Mercat de les Flors Theatre made with the Miró Foundation, will be closed. In order to boost the dance and bring it to different artistic spaces, the Dancing Museum project aims to encourage and maintain long-term collaborations between dance organizations, museums, universities and local communities in order to develop inspiring and lasting cultural and artistic programs.

The conference, with the title “Inside and outside the experience: Dancing Museums as a space for reflection and encounter”, will be a way of sharing the experiences experienced throughout this project. Quim Bigas, the artist involved by Mercat de les Flors, was busy with the notion of the inside and outside of the museum. He has worked with different spheres, both inside and outside the museum, such as schools, Montjuïc Park and its architecture… in this process Bigas has invited other artists, such as Anabella Pareja, Rosalia Zanon, Dante Murillo, Sonia Sánchez, and others.

The performative conference will take place at 6pm in the SG venue with limited audience.
