Jan Martens is driven by a fierce hunger for knowledge alongside an unstoppable desire to share it. He gives us this interview in the Pina Bausch hall at the Mercat de les Flors, just a few hours before he presents Elisabeth Gets Her Way, a solo inspired by his encounter with the work of Elisabeth Chojnacka, the extraordinary harpsichordist whom he brings back from oblivion, just as he does with much of the music in the piece Voice / Noise, which he also discusses with us.
