A dance piece on the notion of permanence and insistence. Performed only by women and constructed from the sonority of the dancers’ bodies, it evokes the processes of transformation and repetition of nature, without referring to figuration on stage. The movement in the dancers’ bodies, like columns waving in many directions, from their arms thrown with violence and uncontrollability, produce sounds. In this way, a poetics of bodies that stand and resist unforld, a collective body of women that shows its ancestral resilience as a way of being in the world.

Poliana Lima is a Brazilian choreographer, dancer and teacher based in Madrid. In 2011 she made her first creation, the short piece Palo En La Rueda. A year later, she began collaborating with Lithuanian choreographer Ugne Dievaityte, with pieces that toured various national and international festivals.
