La Reverdie is a contemporary fable crossed by two beings with multiple and inclusive identities, with blue or yellow skin. Their story speaks of the interdependencies that exist between the different living to maintain a balance, a common living space. Through dance, their experience of otherness resonates with passages from the children’s book Petit-Bleu and Petit-Jaune by Léo Lionni, who support the mixture metaphor. Their meeting will then cause a new green moult to emerge, like a metamorphosis individual who would also like to be collective, revealing the space of what is created together.
AmieAmi: We met at the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris in 2008. Since then, we have taken part in the projects of various choreographers such as Ambra Senatore, Joachim Maudet, Cécile Loyer, Olivier Dubois and Arthur Perole. Over the course of the creations, we had the desire to develop our own choreographic work and we imagine the research of our company as the artistic extension of our life together, in which we seek choreographic transcriptions in the crossing of disciplines and the exploration of varied devices. Our first creations are La Reverdie and Can I serve you?
