EL CONDE DE TORREFIEL

La chica de la agencia de viajes nos dijo que había piscina en el apartamento (The girl at the travel agency told us there was swimming pool in the apartment) is situated in the context of trivialization, consumption, leisure and pleasure in order to develop a script in which bodies and words create undefined environments torn between the banal and the extraordinary. The show leaves aside pleasing aesthetic experiences to make way for a more ambiguous approach and thus consolidate an erotic relationship between what one sees and what one thinks one sees.

Pablo Gisbert and Tanya Beyeler direct the El Conde de Torrefiel art project, producing works for the stage that are the result of a fluctuation between literature, the visual arts and choreography, in an attempt to transcend the parameters of spoken language. The company launched its career in 2010 with the premiere of its first piece La historia del rey vencido por el aburrimiento. El Conde de Torrefiel is part of the artistic team of the dance company La Veronal, working on the textual and dramaturgical composition of its pieces.
