Created and produced in Bamako (Mali), Kolochi Baw is part of the research process that Aïda Colmenero Dïaz is carrying out as part of the Pina Bausch Fellowship. With 5 performers from Rwanda, Mali, Senegal and Ivory Coast, the show reflects on the concepts of sound, vibration and sacrifice in the processes of erecting great constructions of humanity, as well as sacrifices linked to madness.

Aïda Colmenero Dïaz is a creator, actress, choreographer, dancer, filmmaker and performing arts curator, with works that reflect on identity and cultural legacy. Her works refer to the essentiality of human beings and to the connection with visible and invisible nature, and are based on collective creative processes. She has worked with international choreographers such as Germaine Acogny, António Tavares, Nora Chipaumire and Nadia Beugré.
