AZKONATOLOZA

This piece is the third part of the FALLA project, which the company has developed to identify connections between the concepts of cosmos, geology, ancestry, memory and future. After months of walking across deserts, forests and valleys, dozens of people of all ages find themselves in a glade and ask themselves what brought them there. The answer is their desire to dance, to revive and share the ancestral dance of Laniakea, by way of an immemorial ritual. They will have to build a shelter, decipher maps and embark on galactic adventures.

The AzkonaToloza company explores the infinite possibilities of poetry and visual anthropology, lo-fi video creation, performance and movement. Their latest shows focus on the rereading of official history and the creation of documentaries designed for the stage. Their works have been presented at numerous national and international theatres and festivals. AzkonaToloza was an associate company at the Théâtre Garonne in Toulouse from 2020 to 2023 and has had close ties with the Antic Teatre since it was founded.
