In a contemporary revision of Franz Schubert’s string quartet no. 14 in D minor, a romantic composition also known as Death and the Maiden, and whose central theme is a girl who is about to die, Asun Noales uses dance to ponder on the transition between life and death and, above all, on the injustice of dying before our time. Produced by the Valencian Institute of Culture, it has won numerous awards, such as the Max 2021 awards for the best dance performance and the best choreography.

The lengthy career of the Valencian choreographer Asun Noales includes a large number of award-winning creations. Living in Elche, she created her own company in 2007, OtraDanza, which she has taken on tours to many countries. Some of her choreographies have been included in the repertoire of international dance companies such as Luna Negra Dance Theater (Chicago), Rigolo Nouvelle Circ (St. Gallen), Take Dance Company (NY), Passerelles (Brussels) and Una Danza Joven (Costa Rica). She also has taught dance classes at several international universities.
