“One day a boy planted three points. And they became lines …”
A show that combines contemporary circus, dance and the visual arts in a fascinating journey through the world of shapes and creativity. In this journey, a white stage is transformed into an imaginative universe through the use of old overhead projectors. The work is based on the children’s book Três pontinhos, by author and illustrator Mario Vale.
Continuing the research begun with their previous performance, Luis and Mira from Portmanteau explore the use of visual resources, handmade and performed live with old overhead projectors to build a dynamic and poetic visual world. This work revolves sensitively around the journey of two characters who discover three small points… Through movement, excitement and circus tricks, the performers play with the transformation of points into lines, using the overhead projectors to create different situations and universes, leaving room for children’s own imaginations and interpretations.
