This concert suggests a soundtrack to the long, exhausting journey that much of the Syrian population has been forced to embark on in recent times. These immigrants flee from a long, cruel war to try to find safety in Europe. Giannotti and Chaparro recreate their journey in a series of sound snapshots that begin when they leave their homes, continue on a perilous sea crossing, accompany them as they arrive in an unpromising promised land and, finally, sketch a sound portrait of life in the refugee and deportation camps….

Accompanied by their travelling companions and several special guests, the Italo-Canadian musician and the Barcelonan drummer will perform a set featuring songs rich in cinematic, acoustic and minimalist sounds.
