MAUD LE PLADEC

Silent Legacy digs into sociology of gender, heritage and dance culture, research that began with counting stars with you (2021 creation). The piece is a duo with Adeline Kerry Cruz, an 10 years old krump prodigy from Montreal and professional contemporary dancer Audrey Merilus. Audrey holds in common with Adeline interpretive intensity and radical authenticity found in her dance. This project deals with heritage and cultural transmission.

After graduating from the CCN in Montpellier, Maud Le Pladec worked with choreographers like Loïc Touzé, Georges Appaix, Mathilde Monnier, and Boris Charmatz. In 2010 she started presenting her own choreographic work, at the crossroads between low and high culture, through the prism of her eco-feminist activism. She created Static shot for the CCN Ballet de Lorraine in 2021, as well as counting stars with you (musiques femmes) about the musical heritage of women artists. She has been director of the CCN in Orléans since January 2017.

At the end of January 2024, Maud Le Pladec been appointed director of the prestigious National Choreographic Center – Ballet de Lorraine, in Nancy.
