In ULTRAinnocència loscorderos.sc insist on the relationship between text and physicality, while always remaining true to their style: the search for new narrative approaches that flee a predictable portrait, consolidating experimentation and research as a work tool. On this occasion, action takes precedence over images, text and live sound. This piece was created thanks to the selection of loscorderos.sc as artists on the 2013-14 modul-dance project and is the result of collaboration with different European centres.
“In ULTRAinnocència, we react to the spiritual confusion that we live in and cannot ignore because of the nature of our profession. One of the goals of this new piece is to vindicate the creative act as a spiritual asset. We all want to believe in something. Create something. Create something in which to believe. Believe that we can create something to make us believe. But it is not easy, it is not just a question of resolve.”
The peculiar forcefulness of its emotional, physical and energetic commitment is one of the hallmarks of a company whose shows are both extreme and reflective. Their first piece, Crónica de José Agarrotado, received the 2006 Sebastià Gasch Applause Award. In 2011 they won the prize for the best stage production at the Unnim Theatre Awards with El mal menor and the prize for the best show at the III CENIT competition for new theatrical researchers with El cel dels tristos. In 2013 the company was selected to take part in the European modul-dance project and El cel dels tristos won the Sebastià Gasch FAD Award for the Paratheatrical Arts. Loscorderos.sc aims its theatre at the instincts.
