First episode of the Trilogia de la vida

The Trilogia de la vida is a series of shows that Marcos Morau and La Veronal will prepare in the coming years, a project that looks at life in permanent transformation. Living & Leaving is the first episode, in which two bodies face the need for mutual support. They are two presences that need each other so as not to disappear, looking for a balance that always verges on the brink of imbalance, where tension is the driving force that sustains the form. The piece is intended to occupy the inside of a theatre, a museum or an art gallery, or an outdoor space, radically displacing the spectators’ usual viewpoint and the places where performative action is usually produced.

Marcos Morau founded La Veronal in 2004, which is now one of leading dance companies on the European scene. He has won awards such as the National Dance Prize from the Spanish Ministry of Culture and Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters of France in 2023, among many others. He has staged his productions at the most famous theatres and festivals in over thirty countries. Since 2023 he has been an associate artist with the Staatsballett Berlin, a company linked to the Deutsche Oper, the Komische Oper and the Staatsoper Unter den Linden. He is also resident choreographer at the prestigious Nederlands Dans Theater and a guest artist at the Triennale di Milano.
