In one of his later works, the Flemish painter Hieronymus Bosch depicted a ship full of men and women who were wasting their lives in debauchery in what was an allegory on the loss of values. Now, La Calòrica theatre company recreates the voyage of a similar ship on stage. On board are a mixed group of characters seeking a land where they can still live. A young man in a poet’s shirt, a woman whose laughter emanates light, a strange, elegant lady and a buffoon who leads the whole absurd adventure are amongst the characters in a work that casts a grotesque gaze over our world. The play is produced by a young company who presented L’editto bulgaro in the season “July in the Kitchen” at Grec 2012.
