AT PISCINES MUNICIPALS DE MONTJUÏC

This show, which will take place at the municipal swimming pools on Montjuïc, combines artistic swimming with dance and hydrofeminism in order to explain a marine myth about aquatic communities. Contrary to what happens in competitions, where the participants are penalised for not smiling or for not keeping their hair in place, here the differences and similarities coexist, bringing into play the subjective nature of each swimmer to form a unique body through the water.

Pablo Lilienfeld and Federico Vladimir have worked together since 2014 and their shows draw on intimacy to explore representations of collectivity that question hegemonic ways of explaining ourselves. In their research into transindividual narratives, they have resorted to activities as diverse as artistic swimming, raves and role-playing games.
