MAGÍ SERRA

This dance solo is the result of research into the links between the body and the environment. With the help of staging, visuals and music, a choreography of forms, textures and densities is created in which the performer and the audience move together, in a relationship that ends up transforming and defining us. The work questions where we place limits and spontaneity in the public space, and offers other points of view from which to look at everything around us.

Dancer and choreographer Magí Serra trained in contemporary dance in Austria. His works orbit around concepts such as fragility, detail, support, risk and catharsis, within a search for movement on partnering, rhythm and tradition. He has created several pieces, such as Esvorell (2017), La mesura del detall (2018), Sa Mateixa (2018), Brots Transhumants (2020) and COSSOC (2021), with which he continues to tour with the dancer Anamaria Klajnšček and which we were able to see at the Mercat de les Flors in May 2022. He has worked with choreographers such as Roberto Olivan, GN/MC, Roser López Espinosa, Lali Ayguadé and Sònia Gómez.
