PAST SHOW
  • Relaxed sessions are functions where a more relaxed and welcoming atmosphere is created, with more tolerant rules regarding audience movement and noise. They may also involve minor adjustments to the show (lighting, sound…) and to the reception of the public, in order to better adapt to their needs.

The relaxed sessions aim to include people with special needs in the shows, for example people with social interaction difficulties or extreme sensitivity to sensory stimuli.

This work by the company – and the Mercat de les Flors’ third CÈL·LULA project – returns to the Mercat, after premiering in October 2022 with great success and receiving the award for best choreography at the 24th Catalan Performing Arts Critic’s Awards 2022. With Made of Space, Nader and Campos complete the trilogy that began with Time Takes The Time Time Takes (2015) and continued with Set of Sets (2018), works that explored the concept of time and infinity and which were performed at the Mercat de les Flors. Pure dance and sound, Made of Space is a poetic work on space that stops the flow of time, that explores movement and the visual and sonic landscape and addresses the dimension of time and space.

GN|MC Guy Nader | Maria Campos have been working together since 2006. Their work has appeared at a number of different festivals and theatres, both national and international, in countries such as France, Belgium, Holland, Lebanon, India and South Korea. GN|MC have been invited to create works for several European companies, including EnKnapGroup in Slovenia and Tanzmainz in Germany. Together with Tanzmainz, in 2016 they created Fall Seven Times, with which they won the DER FAUST 2017 theatre award in Germany, and in 2019 they were recognised with the Ciutat de Barcelona Award.

Guy Nader, a Lebanese resident artist in Barcelona, studied drama at the Institute of Fine Arts at the Lebanese University in Beirut. He was awarded the danceWEB Europe grant in 2012 and received first prize at the Masdanza International Festival for his solo work Where The Things Hide. He is a resident artist at La Caldera, Barcelona. Maria Campos trained at SEAD, Austria, and graduated from the Amsterdam University of the Arts Academy of Theatre and Dance (Modern Theatre Dance) in 2003. She has worked with Meekers, Protein Dance, Sol Picó and Àngels Margarit / Cia. Mudances, amongst others.
