In Bèsties the members of an imaginary tribe made up of acrobats, dancers, a comedian, horses and numerous birds each reveal their peculiarities and transport us into a beautiful, dreamlike, delicate world that appeals to the deepest part of the human self. The scene is a circus tent which recreates a world of dreams and delicate sensitivity. The show, which was first staged at the Mercat in 2015, has won wide acclaim and continues to tour non-stop.

The French-Catalan group Baró d’Evel Cirk Cie was formed in 2001 by Camille Decourtye and Blaï Mateu Trias. It has staged most of its shows at the Mercat.
