This work is a lecture performance in which the artist tells stories and shares personal archives and other records collected together over many years. The artist explains: “I question performance, I question academia, the body, and I intertwine plants, the city and social processes of destruction and construction of cultures and bodies. In this way, in plural. Literally, it means to be traversed by something, by many things. To be traversed. To be, or to be mischievous, to be annoying. To serve myself up on a tray. To be an alley between two larger streets. To be a crossroads.”

Born in Lisbon, Piny is of Portuguese and Angolan descent. She holds a degree in dance and architecture.
