Dance show in the time of covid

This year it falls to us to celebrate the 40th anniversary of our school in the time of covid, with its comensurate restrictions.  Theatres at 50% of their capacity, lockdowns, the closure of various activities and online classes are all difficult, but at the same time have given a lift to the ocasion.
The performance will be shorter than usual and we will present two shows so that we can all enjoy the performance. We won’t stop, partly thanks to you, students and familes who have stood by us during this long and dificult period.
That is why we want to dedicate this show to you.

The Escola de Ballet Carles Ibáñez celebrates its 40 anniversary. Founded by Magarita Abad and Carles Ibañez himself in 1981, the school has been in Poble Sec for thirty two years. The school is one of the oldest in Barcelona and is highly regarded in the city. It is a member of the Royal Academy of Dance, Federació Catalana de Professors de Dansa, Associació de Professors de Dansa Acadèmica de Barcelona, CPCPDC.
This years marks 25 years since establishing and directing the Temporades de Ballet in Poblenou and also 15 years since the premier of Carles Ibañez’s EL SO DE LA TENORA I EL BALLET in the Palau de la Música Catalana.
