El peso is a production by Ruth Prim and Sofia Mae. The peso is a currency. The English translation is ‘weight’. Weight is the force generated by the attraction of the Earth on any object, it is the force gravity exerts on objects. Weight, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, is a film. Weight. What could you add to weight?
Ruth Prim and Sofia Mae are two street dance performers who combine different forms of the contemporary discipline, two generations united in dance. Two dancers of Latin American origin who represent the dance culture in Spain. Both are dancers at the Roots dance company and have been dancing together for many years. They are teachers, choreographers and dancers and they add a small pinch of art to every project they carry out.

Ofelia, by Julia Romero, investigates the absurdity of what is culturally established as a pattern of behaviour and aesthetics in women’s bodies through experimentation with the language of Waacking. Ofelia refers to one of Shakespeare’s characters, as a symbol of romanticism and also simply a name representative of all women.
Julia Romero studied classical and contemporary dance at the Zaragoza Municipal Dance Conservatory and studied acting at the Zaragoza Municipal Theatre School. When she moved to Barcelona she started working with choreographers such as Raquel Klein, Candela Capitan and Lorena Nogal. While she continues to train in street dance (especially Waacking, Voguing and Hip Hop with her group Souldiers) she continues to study at the Barcelona Theatre Institute Dance Conservatory, where she specialises in performance and choreography. Recently, she has choreographed the duet The Mis$education.

You Are Not a Ghost is a production by We Are Novias, Aina Lanas and Valentina Azzati. The main character of YANAG plays a kind of superheroine who lives in some dark hole of a decadent city. In the face of the hostility of everyday life, she survives by splitting herself in two; an alter ego immune to darkness that both resists harshness while also feeding on it to strengthen the flesh.
They say that opposites attract, and this is the secret of this team, in which chaos and order find a common language. This is translated into the body, the on-stage vision and the depth of the details. They share a passion for improvisation and for bodies that ‘speak’.n’.
