YOSHITO OHNO

The butoh master and direct successor of the founders of this Japanese dance, Yoshito Ohno, is offering a two-day workshop at Mercat de les Flors. This workshop is suitable for all kinds of people and all ages.

The classes will be taught in Japanese with interpretation into Spanish. They will be held on 18 and 19 March from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm in the Pina Bausch auditorium. The price is €70.

Yoshito Ohno, born in Tokyo in 1938, began performing in 1959 with his father, Kazuo Ohno, and with Tatsumi Hijikata, the founders of butoh dance. He received direct training from these two creators and further developed the dance alongside them. Yoshito Ohno has won numerous prizes and disseminated butoh dance around the world.
