A research project that explores the idea of movement in permanent construction, building on two fundamental concepts of Aristotelian metaphysics: substance and accident as forms of being. The Greek philosopher claimed that all natural beings are subject to constant change and movement and that every movement requires the presence of potentiality and action.
The Societat Doctor Alonso, directed by Tomàs Aragay (theatre director and dramaturge) and Sofia Asencio (dancer and choreographer) has built up a language where the concept of displacement is fundamental. Putting something in the wrong place or surroundings, or outside its own space, as a means of inquiry to modify the language. Displacement for the sake of revelation, generating spaces for poetic discourse that challenge the status quo of our understanding of reality.
