The HOP Festival is an annual festival specialising in dance and urban culture. Urban dances are the stars of the festival; thus, year after year, a programme of support and promotion is presented. This 13th edition aims to give visibility to a very powerful artistic movement that is sometimes far from the creative circuits and which includes shows, artistic training programmes, championships, floor shows, screenings, creative laboratories, creative residencies, exchanges, urban art exhibitions, concerts… in different cultural spaces in the city of Barcelona.
To conclude the HOP Festival 2023, El Mercat de les Flors will host a programme of performances, laboratories and experiences with local, national and international artists to discover new bodily landscapes and artistic universes within urban dance. It will also be a meeting point for the European network “Critical Attitude Group” of institutions interested in urban dance.
