AERITES DANCE COMPANY

The latest show from Aerites, one of the key emerging companies at the present time, keeps alive the spirit of roaming the urban labyrinth. The collective mind and body of the city provides the raw materials for the company’s work. Here, these elements have been re-evaluated so that the concept of wandering aimlessly in the streets (drifting) also applies to strangers, immigrants, people who travel for pleasure or because they have no other choice. This is a very physical dance, full of emotion.

Born in Athens, the director of the company, Patricia Apergi, aims to explore the integration of contemporary dance and other types of dance, body languages, movement and music that have emerged from the interplay of ingredients generated by different civilizations. Her pieces are now being performed at festivals all over Europe.
