ESCARLATA CIRCUS

Cabaret petrificat is a journey in the form of a heart of rock that flies like a piece of paper in the form of a bird that flees like a scared shadow and is moulded like a handful of clay in the face of any potential shape. It is a showcase of contrasts, of heat and cold, emptiness and fullness, hardness and softness, heaviness and lightness, laughter and tears, life and death, positives and negatives. It is a fallen cabaret where the dancers are hard and cold like ice, and smoke is the wake left by the wings of the bird that soars above the cane field. Where the musical notes suggest universes, where the light dazzles our souls.

Jordi Aspa and Bet Miralta formed Escarlata Circus in 1987 and since then they have presented a numerous shows around Europe, Israel and Russia. They are also the founders of the circus festival Trapezi (in conjunction with Reus City Council), launched in 1997.
