This stage project is a hybrid work combining poetry and circus, where the body in crisis provides the central theme. Through movement, technical skills and the voice, he uses his body – the lyrical self — to try and develop a cleansing or emptying-out ritual, exploring failure, loss, desire and everything that connects the divine with the monstrous.

“I thought that grief was something processable.
like pork
first
salt it then clean it then store it”

Juan Carlos Panduro is a multidisciplinary artist from Extremadura. He graduated from the École Supérieure des Arts du Cirque (ESAC) and he completed the masters in poetry “Inspiration and the Word” at the School of Writers in Madrid in 2022. As a performer, he has participated in works such as GLATIR (28th Winter Circus – Ateneu Popular 9 Barris), THAUMA by Cía La Mula, Vudú (3318) Blixen by Angélica Liddell, Au bout des doigts by Piergiorgio Milano and REAL///UGLY//SPARKLING by Gaël Santisteva. As a poet, he had his first book Romero recién cortao published by Letraversal in 2024, and he appears in the anthology Estrellas vivas. Antología de poesía cursi. He recently collaborated with a text in La Quijá by Paloma Muñoz. Thanks to Salar la pena, his first solo stage show, he was selected as a finalist in the 2025 edition of the European programme Circus Next.
