ETERNA is a piece that seeks to create a timeless space, a place without time, a non-place impregnated with a non-time. The concrete and material body of two human beings enters the ungraspable, in the form of a poetic and plastic dance enquiry. A leap from reason to the unfathomable, where philosophical thought is embodied in a physical and vocal theatricality intertwined with sound and light space. An explosive and at the same time minimalist encounter of matter-space-time that leads body and mind beyond themselves.
Scenic creator and performer Andrés Waksman has been directing his own projects since 2000, including the creation of 22 solos for different performers. In 2013, he started the artistic research and creation project Laboratorio de Creación, which gave rise to different pieces about fire, air, water, earth, infinity and God, developing his own dance language strongly linked to a visual poetics, dealing with themes such as the mysteries of human nature, the human existence, love, senselessness, stupidity and beauty.
