CIE AYELEN PAROLIN / RUDA asbl

Zonder

March 8 and 9
Popup - Descomptes

Zonder emerges from the seminal and even symbiotic contrast between simplicity and complexity: break/connect, deconstruct/reconstruct, contaminate/alter. “I would like this creative work to make its home in the convergence of the notions of joy, exuberance and excess, in a desire to orchestrate a choreographic chaos, to develop an absurd and extravagant script with rhythm as a central element with which to play, either alone or with others, to feed the silence, for the pleasure of letting yourself be carried away or simply, to channel hop.”

Argentinian choreographer and dancer Ayelen Parolin currently lives and works in Brussels. She has performed for choreographers such as Mathilde Monnier, Mossoux-Bonte, Jean-François Peyret, Mauro Paccagnella, Louise Vanneste, Alexandra Bachzetsis, Anne Lopez and Riina Saastamoinen. Since 2004, Parolin has been creating her own productions, each of which is centred around a particular trope on which her choreographic writing is based. Her work has toured all over Europe, North and Latin America, Asia and North Africa. Her company has been a resident of the Théâtre National Wallonie-Bruxelles since 2022.
