Marina Pravkina

Jazz not Jazz, Marina Pravkina’s laboratory, draws on the footwork techniques that originated in UK Jazz fusion and House dance. The result of the laboratory, in the form of guided group improvisation with live musicians, will be shown on 15 December during the JazzBetween ImprovisariUm event in the Mercat de les Flors’ MAC auditorium.

Marina Pravkina is a Barcelona-based performing artist, choreographer, teacher and founder of the JazzBetween project. She began her dance career in 2006 with house dance (street dance) and jazz fusion improvisation, but over the years she has also developed an interest in contemporary dance and performance. Not only has she performed at renowned festivals such as Summer Dance Forever and Juste Debout, but she has also organised these types of workshops and laboratories in Spain, Belgium, Russia, Europe and Asia.

Previous experience in some style of dance is required. Adults.
