EDEN juxtaposes two worlds that are simultaneously present at the meeting point between performer and audience. The here and now of this encounter onstage collides with images that float in the spaces inside, outside and among the bodies.

Working with these images through the figure of a clown, EDEN confronts opposing ambits and stages a series of paradoxes, playfully and with a sense of humour. EDEN is not a paradisiacal state of rest, but rather a place of healing with a razor blade.

Mala Kline (SLO) is a dancer, performer and choreographer. Her work is an exploration of the affective behaviour of the image and its subversive potential within the framework of performance. She holds a BA in philosophy and comparative literature (UL, Ljubljana) and an MA in theatre (DasArts, Amsterdam). She is currently studying at the School of Images (New York) and writing her PhD on ethics in the performing arts at the University of Ljubljana (Department of Philosophy).

EDEN won the Gibanica Award for the best show chosen by the audience (2013) and the Ksenija Hribar Award for the best choreographer (2013).
