Radical Light is a choreography for five dancers based on minimal techno and electronic music by the composers Senjan Jansen and Joris Vermeiren (Discodesafinado). Salva Sanchis presents an authentic dialogue between a direct dance form – multi-layered and unadulterated – and music based on the concept of “pulse”. The piece is relentless: implacable sound and movement, at 120 beats per minute, where two dance concepts coincide: dance created spontaneously and instinctively – albeit also socially determined – and formal dance, what we usually see in dance shows.

The Catalan Salva Sanchis studied at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona and at P.A.R.T.S., where he graduated with the first group of pupils. His final project was performed at various venues around Europe and was followed by several other shows. Then, in 2003, he joined the Rosas company and formed a choreographic partnership with Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, with whom he has created several shows. He has also choreographed pieces on his own for production by Rosas. Since 2009 until 2017, Salva Sanchis has led the artistic direction at Kunst/Werk together with the choreographer Marc Vanrunxt.
