COBOSMIKA COMPANY

To celebrate its 20th anniversary the CobosMika company is reviving scRakeja’t, the most successful show in its history. First staged in 2007, it toured until 2013 to great acclaim from both the critics and the public, mostly families and young people.

scRakeja’t 2.0 fuses contemporary and urban dances in a “battle” featuring four strident characters with very different origins, who will fight until their last breath to become the universal champions of the art of movement. What they do not know is that the mysterious, sinister character of Mr Bones will make it harder for them than they expected…

CobosMika was formed in Germany in 2000 by Olga Cobos, from Palamós in Catalonia, and the Slovakian Peter Mika, after working with such well-known companies as Rui Horta S.O.A.P. Dance Theatre (Frankfurt), Russel Maliphant Co (London) and Ballet Gulbenkian (Lisbon), and winning several prestigious awards. Since 2006, the company has focused on the fields of creation and pedagogy at its centre in Palamós, where it has developed various educational and social projects. CobosMika is a resident company at the La Gorga de Palamós theatre, whom it advises on the world of the movement arts.
