After the great success of Joseph, the first solo by Alessandro Sciarroni, created in 2011 and staged as part of the most interesting contemporary dance and theatre programmes in ten different European countries in less than two years, the artist returns to his reflections on the mechanisms of stage creation by rethinking this show in order to present it to children.

In Joseph_Kids we see a sole performer onstage, a man alone at his laptop. As in the adult version, the player searches for his own image, which is then projected, distorted, duplicated and deconstructed by a web camera, using basic video effects.

This show is intended to show children that technological tools can be potential vehicles of creativity and not just a source of alienation. Joseph_Kids is a fun show, but it also invites the public to think about things such as the fact that we can now move around a performance space in continually new and surprising ways.
