TONI MIRA

Workshop given by the choreographer Toni Mira around the universe of his show Tempo (which we will see at the Mercat de les Flors in January), in which he talks about how music and rhythm make us change our mood and provoke different emotions when we listen to it. We can express these moods with movement, we can express them by dancing. We will let our body play with the rhythm, with the space and with the other bodies to understand all these rhythms and be able to express all these emotions. By dancing we can laugh, express, dream, remember and even fly.

Choreographer, dancer and actor, Toni Mira has become a leading figure in theatrical dance. Since the eighties he has been at the head of the company Nats Nus Dansa. He won the Ciutat de Barcelona Award in 2009 and the Catalan National Dance Award in 2010. One of the hallmarks of all his creations is his great sense of rhythm, as well as the precise and imaginative use of stage space, mixed in with a remarkable dose of humour and visual poetry. His conception of dance has led him to develop projects with a social impact in schools and prisons. Active and founding member of La Caldera.
