With As if nothing has been spinning around for something to remember, Heine Avdal and Yukiko Shinozaki created a new production for larger stages. This creation with 6 dancers, real time music/sound manipulation and live drawing, brews upon the grounds of their 2012 creation nothing’s for something and develops its best components further.
Having focused primarily on space and the relationship between performers and spectators in previous works (Field Works-office, Field Works-hotel, Borrowed Landscape, …), in this project their aim is to evolve further into the path of the exploration of body and choreography. The interest in movement is not limited to only the human body, but will be opened up to other theatrical elements such as objects, drawings, sounds, light, and scenography. By breaking down the hierarchy between these elements and looking for the ‘affects’ that exist between the body and what surrounds it, a new set of movements appear.
Starting out from the theatre space as an empty non-space, they search how a place can become fluid, how it can mutate, or separate into different parts. When a given situation transforms, how do new possibilities develop and open up to other dimensions? as if nothing has been spinning around for something to remember is about these transitions, a voyage from one ‘state of being’ to the other, where objects melt into bodies, drawings fade into sound, sound vibrates into new material forms of creatures, … The entire space is part of one large movement.

Leaving aside their usual musical show, the group Los Ganglios superficially go deeper into what they understand by theatre and dance through a piece in which they try to convey to the audience the attraction they feel for pessimistic prophecies and “disheartening” futures.
Los Ganglios are an artistic-musical, techno-punk trio from Sweden and Extremadura. Active since 2009, their shows always aim at establishing a close relationship and honest communication with the audience. Their audiovisual pieces are a collage of humour, surrealism and poetry.
