PATRICIA CABALLERO

RA!

April, 9, 10 and 11
Popup - Descomptes

RA! is a living ecosystem in which breathing ends up being shared. Voice is given body and the body sees. The collective consciousness awakens and expands in a crossroads of gestures, sounds, vibrations and memories, past and future. This work explores other ways of being together, of living together, celebrating and sublimating, as a contemporary ritual. It plays with time, altered states of consciousness and shared intimacy, beyond social, bodily, cultural and scenic layers. Pants, dances, groans, chants, prayers and laughter. A web of voices and bodies dismantling bad smells and powers.

With an over 35-year-long relationship with dance and a professional career of 20 years, Patricia Caballero develops works that create a symbiosis between mysticism, intimacy and picaresque. Her pieces Ágape, Kairoscopio and Mnemosina, a duet with Mónica Valenciano, stand out. She has worked as stage director for Israel Galván. She has accompanied artists such as Luz Arcas, Alberto Cortés, Rosa Romero… Recently, she embarked on a career in film with On the Go, a piece that has received numerous international awards. Caballero also teaches seminars and laboratories.
