Mirar, BY IRON SKULLS

An exploration of the relationship between the observer and the observed, questioning how our perception of others alters and transforms the way we see and exist in the world. Since 2013, Iron Skulls has pushed the boundaries of movement, innovating through the hybridisation of breaking in the performing arts, with the aim of cultural transmission. The essence of the company combines the sensitivity of contemporary dance with the strength of urban dance and theatre.

Chasing Butterflies, by MAJEKO

Chasing Butterflies explores the interplay between self and longing. In a world that glorifies productivity, the performers navigate the tension between ambition and presence.  Through movement, they embody struggles such as doubt, pressure and comparison, and they question themselves: where is the balance between becoming and just being? This co-created dance piece reflects the human experience, and invites reflection, exchange and recognition that none of us is alone on this journey.

Majeko is a Swedish-based dance group formed by core members Kaide Gonzalez, Marcus “Mackie” Larsson and Ida “Inxi” Holmlund. In the framework of the Attitudes project, the group is strengthened by the addition of Fredrika “Freddie” Burvall, who temporarily replaces Inxi. From their victories on the battle scene to captivating performances, they represent excellence in urban dance. Their common goal is to use their shared knowledge and experience to contribute to the growth of urban dance in Sweden.

Jogo de Dentro, by KÂE BROWN CARVALHO & JERSON DIASONAMA

Jogo de Dentro, a play co-created and performed by Kaê Brown Carvalho and Jerson Diasonama, depicts the fated connection between two people. With a title inspired by the Angolan capoeira game, the show traces an inner journey from innocence to a deeper awareness. Rooted in the black Lusophone culture of Brazil and Angola, the duo’s artistic expression explores their shared heritage, transporting us into a sensory and dreamlike universe. Memories emerge, tingeing the present, as personal narratives and shared legacies intertwine on stage.

Born into a family of dancers, Kaê Brown Carvalho (FR) followed the twirls of his parents, Michelle Brown and Armando Pekeno (Cie Ladaïnha), from an early age. Trained in capoeira and contemporary dance, he made the transition to b-boying in 2011, founding the group Les Ratz in Rennes, France. Kaê’s style, which fuses the fluidity of contemporary dance with touches of capoeira, has led him to collaborate with François Frenetik, Zombeavers and Saïdo Lehlouh, among others.

Jerson Diasonama (FR), a dancer trained in hip-hop, collaborates with several choreographers, enriching his eclectic body language. Among his most notable works are collaborations with Saïdo Lehlouh and Johanna Faye. In 2017, he founded Essenscorp, exploring the aesthetics of movement, with his show Core, which won third prize in the Danse élargie competition in 2022.
