This large-format choreography piece that premiered at the Mercat de les Flors now returns after a successful three-year tour. Co-produced by Teatros del Canal and Mercat de les Flors, Gran Bolero is a piece in which 6 dancers from Madrid and 6 from Barcelona dance to Ravel’s famous 1929 score. A dance about tenacity, about the joy of effort and the pleasure of resisting and at the same time about exhaustion. A dance that celebrates time and shared space, the intensity and transience of life. This piece won the MAX Award for Best Dance Performance in 2020.
