Proprioceptive and interoceptive rehearsals in motion

This was, is and will be an invitation to engage with a moving space between, a shared space between gravities that I’ve called interoceptive. The piece presents a fictionalised constellation of resonant, embodied layers and atmospheres. A composition of voices and perspectives that align different times simultaneously, bringing them closer and making them collide in a single instant. The piece seeks to undo, unravel and amplify images; to look more closely, moving in to perceive details and nuances; and to challenge relationships that appear fixed or settled. This research is, was and will be an attempt to spark the emergence of relational, perceptual and imaginary drifts by listening from displaced centres.

Laura Vilar Dolç is a dancer, teacher, creator and researcher based in Vienna. She holds a PhD in Philosophy from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) for her thesis on artistic research through dance. She is part of the teaching team on the Master’s Degree in Artistic Research and Design at EINA-UAB, as well as the UAB’s Bachelor’s Degree in Design. She also teaches at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona and co-directs nunart, a centre for research and experimentation through dance. In Austria, she is an artist-in-residence at Im_flieger, a centre for performing arts research, where she was the artistic director of the Schule@im_flieger 2024 programme. She is currently developing the centre’s Changing Spaces Vienna-Barcelona residency exchange.
