Dalet is a letter of the Hebrew alphabet referring to the gate, which refers to the passage from one place to another, symbolising the path of change and evolution. In this new work by Daniel Abreu, seven dancers and two musicians recreate the energy that allows us to change places. The work moves from dance and gesture to a place of reverie and magical representation.
With more than 70 works, Cía Daniel Abreu was founded in 2004. Its choreographic language is based on the strength and personality of the dancers, on simple tools of interpretative language, on its suggestive images and on a sensitive sound environment. His numerous awards include the 2014 National Dance Award in the category of creation. He has directed for companies in Italy, Croatia, Poland and Spain. In 2018 he was appointed artistic director of Lava, the company of the Auditori de Tenerife, which he directed for two years.
