Cyberexorcisme is a continuation of two previous works, Likes and Spiritual Boyfriends. The relationship between body-image-power-digitality has been one of the most prevalent axes in recent works. This time it is a group piece in collaboration with 5 performers/Tik Tokers, which takes as its research base the Tik Tok app and aims to move and/or exorcise the mechanisms and choreographic tools from the Internet to the stage. It is not a question of seeing the internet as a diabolical phenomenon, as the word “exorcism” would suggest, but of exorcising – that is to say expressing and exploiting- the images, mechanisms, corporalities and dances that we observe and experience through the Internet.
Graduating in Classical Dance from the Institut del Teatre, Núria Guiu was part of IT Dansa and later worked as a dancer with companies such as Cullberg Balletten, Gisèle Vienne, Carte Blanche Dance Company, Batsheva Dance Company (Kamuyot), Ingri Fiksdal, Jasmin Vardimon, La Veronal and Kobalt Works, amongst others. She is a certified professor of Yoga Iyengar and is studying a degree in Anthropology and Human Evolution at the UOC. She has worked as an artistic assistant to Gisele Vienne and also as a performer in some of her creations. Since 2012 she has been researching, as a choreographer, the relationship between body, image, power and digitality.
