ANNA FONTANET

This project is the product of curiosity and an interest in generating real-time soundscapes through dance and digital arts, generating sound spaces with injections of artificial intelligence. Now is the field of work. Ask is the method of recording the trajectory. And Nothing is the source and the destination that make up the choreographic territory. From artificiality to organicity, Fontanet delves into exploratory spheres to examine her own existence in relation to sound as a form of thought: “I come from and return to silence. Every sound, every movement could be an autobiographical fragment”.

Anna Fontanet is a dancer, creator and independent artist from Barcelona with an international career in search of other ways of thinking and understanding dance, who has studied under a variety of teachers, such as Nancy Stark and Julyen Hamilton, who have influenced her work as respective masters in the arts of instant composition and contact improvisation. As a graduate of graphic design, she blends these two artistic fields and incorporates sound composition and digital arts within her projects. She has collaborated with international and national choreographers both as a dancer and, as of 2017, as a creative artist.
