Choreography Frédérick Gravel

A key element of Carte Blanche’s performance ‘But Then We’ll Disappear (I’d Prefer Not To)’ is the meeting between people. It questions how we meet other people – and how difficult it is to find one’s place in a community, and explores issues relating to the individual, ‘I’, and their place in the group, ‘we’.

Founded in the Norwegian city of Bergen in 1989, Carte Blanche tours nationally and internationally with 2 or 3 shows each year. Frédérick Gravel, current artistic director of the Canadian creation and production company Daniel Léveillé Danse, is known for turning choreographic structures upside down, often including elements of rock music and performance art. As an artist, Gravel has many labels: light artist, musician, composer, performer, dancer and choreographer.
