MARCO D'AGOSTIN

Best Regards

From October 25 to 27
Popup - Descomptes

In this show Marco D’Agostin pays a poignant tribute to his late mentor and pioneering performer, Charnock, who co-founded the British dance company DV8 Physical Theatre and had a profound influence on the artist during his time there in 2010. Inspired by his hyperkinetic and explosive performances, this encounter was to change the way D’Agostin thought about dance and its possibilities forever. Best Regards is an exercise of remembrance which asks of the audience: What would you write to someone who will never to read your words?

The Italian artist Marco D’Agostin works in the fields of dance and interpretation and was awarded the UBU prize as the best performer under 35. He is an associate artist at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan (2022-2024). His work questions the role and functioning of memory and focuses on the relationship between performer and spectator. He sees dance as a complex geography in which sounds, words and movements are constantly colliding and progressing towards emotional equilibrium between the performer and spectator. Since 2010, he has carried out his own choreographic research and taken part in numerous international projects.
