JOÃO LIMA

Conspiración

October, 24, 25 and 26
Popup - Descomptes

Conspiracy means breathing together. A contemporary dance piece performed by five performers, Conspiración moves between performance and sound to reflect on the notion of community in today’s world. Through the creation of a choir that activates both voice and movement, the notions of unison, dissonance, and polyphony are explored as possible forms of collective coexistence.

João Lima is a performer, choreographer and educator who works with various artistic organisations. His collaborators include stage artists such as AzkonaToloza, Marcela Levi and Lucía Russo (Improvável Produções), and Cecilia Colacrai. In 2002, he was awarded Best Actor by the Association of Performing Arts Producers of Pernambuco. He has also taught at numerous institutions and created works presented in venues across Europe and Latin America.
