Its main objective is to foster and promote contemporary dance in the territory. The project brings this artistic specialty to the students of public high school in Barcelona. It becomes a learning and connection process for the students and teachers involved, a training and educational tool, a unique space of expression from different experiences and proposals.

Tot Dansa proposes a vital and human experience through artistic practice. The values that emerge from dance give the perfect excuse for teachers to accompany students in the necessary disinhibition of movement, control gestures within a given space and generate creative work that requires the commitment of all.

The teaching staff receives specialized training at the Institut del Teatre, which transmits and guides the journey with the students participating in the project, in the same educational centers. With the professional team, they weave movement after movement, scene after scene, to generate a unique and joint choreography that is shown at Mercat de les Flors, an international reference space for contemporary dance in the city.

The complicity between the institutions that lead it, Institut de Cultura de l’Ajuntament de Barcelona, Mercat de les Flors and Escola Superior de Dansa de l’Institut del Teatre, are the guarantee of its artistic and pedagogical quality.

TOT DANSA project at Barcelona is an educational project promoted and organized by the Culture Institute of Barcelona City Council, the Mercat de les Flors and the Institut del Teatre. Mercat de les Flors and Consorci Transversal were the driving forces behind the creation of a new project with a similar structure and operation, but for the entire Catalan territory, the project TOTS DANSEN.
