The show starts from a moment of awareness that a fictional character, Lenina, intuits in chapter 6 of Aldous Huxley’s dystopian novel Brave New World. As Lenina’s helicopter hovers over the dark ocean she is gripped by an uncomfortable feeling, her social conditioning is being challenged and she begins to question reality… This performance sets out to capture that first moment of awareness experienced just before an awakening, a revolution or falling in love.
