Pourquoi un arbre est une poule ?

April 12 and 13
Popup - Descomptes

Recommended ages: 4 to 7

How did the world begin? What was it like before it was called the world? In a collaboration between author, designer and dancer Delphine Perret and choreographer Marc Lacourt, we are treated to a highly entertaining piece which provides children with a fun, dynamic platform in which they are invited to ask questions. In the words of the artists: “The world is one big theatre that we learn to observe and organise from a very young age, and so we have fun constructing different worlds. That is what we want to share with our audiences”.

In addition to his career as a dancer, Marc Lacourt participates in numerous workshops for children and teenagers. He created his first piece for a young audience, La Serpillère de Monsieur Mutt, in 2016, which was staged at the Mercat in 2022. Delphine Perret has been writing and illustrating since 2003. She has published around forty books and her work has been translated into ten languages and received numerous awards.
